“Don’t reveal your cards unless you have to, don’t give away to much information by talking. Be serious.”

Why Vegas? “I like the warm weather for one and I’m also a poker player, so I wanted to be around poker.” Mandy plays both sides of the table. Most casinos won’t allow dealers to play where they work, but Binnion’s it’s different. “It’s more like a family, instead of a corporation, and we have a lot of locals.” Mandy measures her words and rarely smiles, two important features in poker. “It’s a very complex game, it keeps you mentally sharp, and if you are a skilled player you can make a lot of money.” Then, we ask for some beginner’s tips. “Don’t reveal your cards unless you have to, don’t give away to much information by talking. Be serious. If you are playing to be social and have fun, with low stakes, that’s a different game.” Could this be an advise for a novice President? “I’m concerned with our next president, whoever it might be. It’s unpredictable right now. I think America will stay strong as it always has been, but it’s going to be a lot of changes.”
